What you gain by being here.
The EcoPark is not just a location. It is a fully operational clean growth platform with infrastructure, energy, planning and public sector support already in place. Here is what that means in practice.
The EcoPark generates clean power from wind, solar and biogas on site. A private wire energy network is under development that will deliver electricity directly to tenants at below-market rates — removing grid transmission costs entirely.
90%+ More electricity generated than used on site each yearPlanning consent has been secured for an Advanced Plastics Recycling Facility, an Energy from Waste plant and a four-turbine wind farm extension. The site is designated within the Perth and Kinross Local Development Plan as a strategic waste and resource management location.
The EcoPark is integrated into the Invest in Perth inward investment platform and the Clean Growth Axis Perth and Kinross. Project Beacon's Phase 2 secured £5.2 million from the Tay Cities Deal fund, demonstrating the strength of public sector support available to businesses locating here.
£5.2m Tay Cities Deal investment already secured on siteThe EcoPark is not a greenfield site. Roads, utilities, weighbridge, waste reception, water management and grid connections are already in place. Businesses can locate and operate quickly without building from scratch.
200 Acres of operational and development land availableBinn Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Perth and Kinross Council in 2019, creating a structured framework to attract investment, research and employment to the EcoPark. This means planning discussions and inward investment conversations happen with an existing relationship in place, not from a standing start.
Six miles south of Perth with direct M90 motorway access. 40 miles from Edinburgh, 35 miles from Stirling, 60 miles from Glasgow. Materials are delivered to the site from Aberdeen, Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow — the logistics infrastructure is already proven.
