Where does your waste go?
Every load of mixed waste collected from your site is brought directly to our 62-acre EcoPark facility at Binn Farm, Glenfarg. Nothing goes to landfill at this stage, every load enters our processing system.
Before processing begins, every load undergoes an initial inspection. Our trained team check and accept the waste, verifying it matches what was declared. This is where we issue your Waste Transfer Note, your legal Duty of Care documentation. Confirming your waste has been handled responsibly.
This is where the real work happens. Waste is sorted into distinct material streams on site. Each stream has a specific destination that maximises its value and minimises environmental impact.
Once sorted, each material stream is consolidated, baled or containerised and transported off-site to specialist reprocessors. This is where recyclable materials begin their journey to becoming new products. Residual material that cannot be recycled is directed to energy recovery facilities rather than landfill wherever possible.
Binn Group's approach ensures the absolute minimum goes to landfill. Over 90% of everything we process is either recycled into new materials or converted into energy. Landfill is only ever a last resort.
