The situation: SRJ Windows (established 1992) operates at scale (50,000+ customers, 65 employees, 34 vehicles) and needed a reliable waste partner that could keep up operationally while improving sustainability outcomes.
Binn Group’s solution: A long-term service (10+ years) helping SRJ shift from landfill-heavy disposal to significantly higher recycling performance, including recycling of metal, plastic, and cardboard from installations, plus dry mixed recycling from the Fife showroom. Support is also extending into new waste streams (e.g., exploring sustainable recycling routes for removed glass).
Outcome / impact: Recycling improved to 80%+, general waste collections reduced by around half, and the business reports zero waste to landfill.
